My name is Keri Rusinko.  I am currently working as an Intervention Tutor.  Through experiences and classes linked to technology, I have learned that technology is changing at a rate that encourages people to continually educate themselves to stay current.  My field of interest is technology in the education field used as a supplimental tool.  Current teaching techniques include technology suppliments to assist visual, kinesthetic, and auditory learners grasp abstract concepts.  Math is a great area to use technology through PowerPoint to introduce new concepts and give examples of concepts in a visual and auditorial sense.  Smartboards are other technology tools that students could manipulate in order to increase knowledge of a newly learned concept.  This form of technology appeals to those who are kinesthetic learners and enjoy hands on experiences in their learning process.  As an educator, I enjoy learning new ways to educate my students.  With the use of technology, education comes alive within the classroom.
